Kristopher understood Nathaniel's precaution, and did not argue when a protective fence was built around the area he was given. If the clan was to go berserk, the fence would keep them locked up and Nathaniel is the only one who can release them.

Leon knows there aren't leaders for every single shapeshifter, so when he took the lead role, he made sure his area was open to shapeshifters of all kind; so long as they didn't start any trouble.
